Clients include Legal & General, FT, Kuoni and Amnesty International. This Account Director opportunity is in response to fantastic business growth.

Description

The Account Director is responsible for developing and managing a number of named Fortune Cookie client accounts to increase revenue, maintain relationships and produce high-quality work.

They are responsible for both maximising the value of each account and servicing the day to day needs of clients. This includes: generating interest in our services, providing strategic vision and guidance, responding to briefs (written and verbal), creating proposals and estimates and ensuring clients are satisfied with the services we provide.

Key responsibilites

  • Propose suitable strategic and tactical creative and technical solutions to answer clients' stated and underlying business needs;
  • Actively identify revenue opportunities from accounts ;
  • Build strong, positive long-term client relationships by understanding their current and future business issues, markets, competition and audiences. Proactively communicate and interpret industry trends and issues to them;
  • Be a key point of contact for your clients, setting up and attending meetings and presenting development and project approaches;
  • Clarify client briefs to understand requirements, deliverables, end goals and risks. Communicate these effectively to internal pre-sales teams;
  • Working with the internal pre-sales teams, scope and write appropriate, innovative and compelling proposals and task orders (suited to the size of project), ensuring they meet our level of web creative, accessibility and usability quality;
  • Assist the Director of Client Services and the Director of Operations in planning and ensuring adequate internal and 3rd party pre-sales resource;
  • Assist the Director of Client Services and individual Project Managers in ensuring clients' projects are scheduled, run and delivered effectively and to high quality;
  • Track and report on sales opportunities, orders and client activity weekly to enable management of company revenue, and quarterly to feed into internal strategic planning;
  • Develop results-orientated case studies and press releases for each completed project to share success internally, with clients and the press;
  • Identify and share client feedback, account knowledge and internal learning at internal project and post-delivery assessments;
  • Represent company at industry events and conferences, as required.

Skills required

  • Ability to take opportunities forward into scoping and closing opportunities;
  • Presence and professionalism to inspire confidence and credibility;
  • Excellent negotiation, influencing and problem solving skills;
  • Good grasp of digital marketing techniques;
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office, Project, plus sales reporting and analysis tools.

Experience

  • Current responsibility for target revenue of at least £400k per annum;
  • Strong track record of growing key client accounts and managing client relationships.
  • Working in a agency (preferably web) environment;
  • Demonstrable commercial awareness and knowledge of at least one the following sectors: ecommerce, travel, finance.
